Please join us for Chantel’s Massey’s talk, “Between Poems,” on Tuesday June 9th:
“The most important part of writing, and really life... is revision.” — Kiese Laymon
Inspired by this quote, in this craft talk, Massey shares notes and thoughts on vulnerability and revision as not merely a process of strengthening writing, but an act of radical re-seeing that allows us to find the hidden tenderness in our daily chaos between the poem making. By applying poetic tools—like honoring the white space, listening for resonance, and cutting away the performative—we can learn to navigate personal transitions with greater clarity and grace. Ultimately, changing the cadence of your words is not just a literary exercise; it is the catalyst for reshaping your life.
