Generation Voice - Voice Alumni This is the place where Generation Voice peeps get the respect they deserve for fighting back agains Voice wants to pay respect to all the Voice Alums.

The Voice Movement has helped Indiana lower its youth smoking rates to historic lows. This year ITPC celebrates its tenth anniversary; and that means many of the Voice youth that worked so hard fighting back against Big To***co have moved on to college and into their respective careers.

Under the leadership of Promotus Advertising these young men and women participated in the Voice Movement and worked hard countering Big To***co’s marketing tactics and help other teens say no to to***co. But, ironically, the fight is not over; news brands and products are being targeted to appeal to this segment; “today’s trend will become tomorrow’s market,” said a RJR executive.

The Voice teen movement began in earnest in the spring of 2002. Over a 10 year period thousands of teens across Indiana were made aware of the manipulative tactics of the to***co industry and how they target teens to become replacement smokers. The industry is once again targeting this generation and is focusing on younger adults (18–24).

Generation Voice represents a group of young adults who grew up in Indiana over the past decade during a time when Indiana was aggressively fighting back against the to***co industry. During that time, the counter-marketing program was called Voice.
