Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with pupusas made from scratch. 🧑‍🍳 These thick, stuffed corn tortillas are a Salvadoran staple, and this batch is filled with chicken and cheese. Watch the kitchen team at one of our Next Course Cafeterias partner schools bring them together by hand.

Thank you to everyone who came to Harvest Dinner on the Farm! An unforgettable meal, an incredible group of chefs, and a community coming together to support A Longer Table.

The evening supported the people and systems behind another kind of dining room: the school cafeteria. This year, we’re working alongside five Next Course Cafeterias partner schools serving nearly 3,000 students and approximately 500,000 meals.

To our guests, chefs, volunteers, and partners, thank you for making the evening possible and helping more schools bring scratch-made meals to students every day. 💚

From farm rows to lunch trays. 🌱➡️🍽️

Our urban farm is both a space to learn and a productive working farm. What we grow here makes its way into school kitchens, with vegetables and herbs donated to our Next Course Cafeterias school partners for use in school meals.

We’re so excited to see these partnerships, years in the making, come to life at Enlace Academy and Providence Cristo Rey High School .

Nearly 1,000 students are now eating fresh, scratch-made meals, while our team works closely with cafeteria staff in these first weeks to dial in production, routines, and the day-to-day details that will keep the model running.

We’re grateful to all our school partners for investing in one of the most important systems children rely on: the school cafeteria.
