Heather's Voice Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you'll be among the stars!! Heather's Voice was courageously formed in July of 2007 by Heather's mother, Debbie.

Heather Norris succumbed to her battle with dating abuse, violence, and manipulation in April of 2007 when her on-again, off-again boyfriend brutally took her life from us. Heather always dreamed of helping people. She believed that she was placed on this Earth with the purpose of fulfilling a life that would help make the world a better place. She was a care-free, loving, family-oriented spirit t

hat will forever live on through the efforts of this organization. Since Heather's tragic passing, not one moment has gone by in which Debbie did not feel a need to live her life through Heather's voice, helping educate and advise individuals all over in the fight against domestic violence. She has made numerous appearances to high schools and universities across the state of Indiana to speak about the past experiences with Heather and the violence and manipulation she was exposed to, the grief it has caused to those that knew and loved Heather and those that did not and were still touched from afar, and the new life she lives that will forever revolve around HV. She has appeared on the Dr. Phil show, as well as been invited to speak at national conferences in New Orleans, LA, Washinton, D.C., and Portland, OR. Through Debbie's passionate and philanthropic efforts, Heather's Voice has also partnered with many organizations in efforts to fight domestic violence, including the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Domestic Violence Network. In these efforts, Heather's voice and spirit lives on. The people who loved Heather will never live the same life. Her family and friends will never see the world the same. Debbie will remain forever changed and live a life THAT IS HEATHER'S VOICE. Heather was right, she would fulfill a life that made a difference and changed the world.

This Friday, November 15 is Heather's Voice Night at the Iupui Volleyball game against North Dakota State! The team is having a GREAT YEAR and it should be an excellent game. The Stacked Pickle-IUPUI restaurant/bar is also generously donating 10% of their food sales for the entire day and night of November 15 to HV for any person who presents the coupon below to their server. The coupon needs to be a printed copy. If you have questions, let us know. You cannot beat a Friday full of great food, entertainment, and people coming together in the fight against domestic violence!

Happy Sunday HV supporters! Just an FYI about some upcoming events. Monte Carlo night at the Beech Grove Eagles is May 11. We will be raffling off a meet and greet with AJ Foyt in his garage at the Indy Motor Speedway. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, let us know. It is $1 a ticket, $5 for 6 tickets, or $10 for 12 tickets. The Race Away from Domestic Violence 5k run/walk is June 1 this year. Come out and join the HV team. Both of these events are ALWAYS a great time! Looking forward to seeing some of you there. :)

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! :) Go team HV! The 5k starts at 8am. Come early to pick up your race packet and t-shirt from our table and meet with other HV team members. Parking will be available at Victory Field. However, get there early because it will be limited. Remember, HV shirts are $5! We will definitely have the cutest and brightest shirts this year! Get ready for a fun-filled morning set out to spread Heather's Voice and more domestic violence awareness!

We would love to have one last push for HV team participants for the "Race Away from Domestic Violence 5k Run/Walk!" If you are interested in supporting domestic violence awareness or just simply running or walking a 5k, please join us as a team participant for Heather's Voice! :) Registration is open until tomorrow at noon! All help and support is appreciated! Heather's Voice shirts this year are very cool and will only be $5! They can be purchased prior to the race :) Let us know if you have any last minute questions!
