Today, we celebrate the resilience, dreams, and limitless potential of every African child.
At Saint Ann Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive regardless of where they are born. From the hard-to-reach island communities of Buyiga to vulnerable children across Uganda, we remain committed to ensuring access to quality education, clean water, healthcare, protection, and opportunities that empower children to build a brighter future.

✨ From darkness to opportunity. ✨
For the first time in the history of Buyiga Island, children can access digital learning powered by clean, renewable energy.
Through our Solar Project, Buyiga Seed School has become the first school on the entire island to have off-grid electricity, transforming education for hundreds of girls and boys. What was once impossible is now a reality—children are learning ICT skills, accessing digital resources, studying after dark, and preparing for a future filled with opportunities.
For many children, this is their first experience using a computer. For many girls, it is the beginning of a journey toward digital inclusion, leadership, and economic empowerment.
This project is doing more than providing electricity—it is lighting classrooms, expanding opportunities, bridging the digital divide, and helping children build the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.
A heartfelt thank you to MIVA and Katalemwa Cheshire Home for making this transformation possible. Together, we are proving that no child should be left behind simply because of where they are born.
