Congrats to coach Kristen Bodine Lovell on being inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame this Saturday!
Inductee Highlight | Kristen (Bodine) Lovell 🏀
A 1998 Indiana All-Star and 1997 Junior All-Star, Lovell was one of the leaders behind Martinsville’s back-to-back state championships in 1997 and 1998, including the first Class 4A title and Tournament of Champions crown.
The 5-foot-10 guard totaled 1,562 points, along with 484 rebounds, 452 assists, and 373 steals in 95 games, helping the Artesians compile an outstanding 89-8 record. She was a two-time AP first-team All-State selection and earned MVP honors at both the 1997 Hall of Fame Classic and 1998 Tournament of Champions.
Lovell began her collegiate career at Butler, earning Horizon League honors, before transferring to Indiana University. Despite battling injuries, she was named team MVP as a senior, averaging 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.
