On this Sunday Fr. Justin celebrates the Feast of St. Francis. Fr. Justin reflects on Franciscan spirituality as rooted in Jesusโ vision that every person is of equal value and that the Divine Presence already dwells within us. He contrasts this understanding with a spirituality that sees God as separate from us, explaining how the traditional Peace Prayer can become an affirmation of our divine connection: โBecause I am an instrument of peace, where there is hatred, I sow love.โ When we recognize ourselves as powerful spiritual beings connected with Divine Presence, prayer becomes not simply a request for God to act, but a commitment to participate with God in creating peace, love, pardon, hope, light, and joy. Fr. Justin invites us to live from this awareness each day, consciously extending Divine Presence into our relationships and into the world, remembering that love makes the difference.
