This show has nothing to do with politics in the Middle East. In fact, it's disturbingly universal. Where will you be in 100 years? What do you leave behind?

"Y’all, I walked into this play knowing nothing, and I gotta say, it BLEW ME AWAY!! Forget the title. It has nothing to do with the Middle East. It has nothing to do with modern crazy politics with Israel. It has everything to do with ideas about what the future brings and figuring out your place in the world for good or ill. What a delight of theatrical examination of the soul. Building Jerusalem has little plot beyond the fact that 5 people gather for a New Year’s Eve party in 1899 and play some games. But the interesting bit is what each person brings to the table. It’s weird, and it’s phenomenal. THIS IS THEATRE. Every actor brings their A-game, and I was ultimately fascinated. I loved every minute of this challenging, funny, soul-searching play. There’s no intermission. There’s no curtain call. There’s only ideas. THIS is what theatre is meant to do — challenge, inspire, and create magic. This show is absolutely worth your time, money, and support. I LOVED it. Very theatrical. Weird, important, wild. Go see it. It deserves an audience who wants to think. It was so inspiring to me. I’ve been hung up on my writing, thinking no one would care about anything I had to say.
