Join the Central Indiana Chapter on May 15th for their Annual Fast Friday Event!

The Central Indiana Chapter is excited to host this event in partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), International Right of Way Association (IRWA), and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).

This is an excellent networking event with an open bar (drink tickets will be provided) and a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere! It’s also a good launching point if you’d like to go to the track afterward!

Last week, ISPLS represented the surveying profession at the Johnson County Skilled Trades Showcase!

We were able to connect with hundreds of high school students and give them a hands-on introduction to the surveying industry.

Applications are open for the 2026 NSPS Young Surveyors Network (YSN) National Mentorship Program. Hurry while spaces last.

This program connects students and early-career professionals with experienced surveyors and geospatial professionals across the country, in structured, 1-on-1 pairings designed around shared goals and interests.

Topics include ethics and professionalism, licensure and certification, leadership, industry and emerging technology, business ownership, and more.

The 2026 program is capped at 250 participants, up from 100+ last year. Early applications are encouraged.

Program timeline:

▪️May: Applications open
▪️June: Participants finalized
▪️July: Pairings and onboarding
▪️August–November: Mentorship sessions
