After careful consideration and deliberation, the IWiT Board has made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization effective December 31, 2025. This decision comes as we recognize the shifting landscape of our community and the challenges we have faced in recent times.

As we reflect, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for all of the support along the way. Every single one of our supporters - students, sponsors, partners, volunteers, donors, board members, staff, etc. - has been an integral part of our mission.

The impact we have made together should be celebrated.
With the help of the community, we have:
· provided financial assistance and wrap-around support to over 300 women graduates earning a tech degree or certification and securing employment here in Indiana
· influenced more than 7,000 kids through hands-on STEM activities and programming
· helped increase the number of robotics teams in Indiana from 200 in 2016 to 27,204 in 2025 through our partnership with TechPoint Youth
· created mentorship opportunities for 100s of women
· hosted legacy events year after year such as the IWiT Summit, EMPOWERIndy Expo, Ignite Your Superpower, Pathways to Tech, skills training for robotics teams, digital workshops, bringing the LPGA to Indiana, etc.

As we close this chapter, we want to cherish the memories made along the way and encourage everyone to continue supporting the women and girls that surround you every day. We are incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished together and the community we've built over the years. Once again, thank you for being a part of our journey.

Last Thursday we hosted our 2025 Indy Women in Tech Summit and what an incredible experience it was !! 🎉

Not only was the event a resounding success, but from the lineup of speakers (Aisha Bowe, Sarah Thomas, Kate Maxwell, Olivia West, Tracey Jackson), to the engaged audience, the powerful stories and inspiring messages, the electric energy in the room, and being able to present thousands of dollars to organizations impacting women and girls, to the delicious food and heartfelt champagne toast, we couldn't have asked for a better final IWiT Summit. 🎀

A special shoutout to everyone who joined us - speakers, attendees, volunteers - and made this event unforgettable. Thank you all for being a part of this journey with us and helping to empower the women here in our own community. We can accomplish anything we put our minds to and sometimes we need to be reminded of that.

And of course, cheers to the best IWiT team: Ariel Crawley, Kristan Russell & Jessica Maginn

Meet our second keynote for the 2025 Indy Women in Tech Summit:
🚀 AISHA BOWE, Astronaut, Tech Entrepreneur & Founder, Global Thought Leader, Keynote Speaker & Philanthropist

Aisha Bowe is a former NASA rocket scientist, award-winning Founder, and citizen astronaut who is redefining what it means to lead in science, education, and innovation. In 2025, she flew aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket as part of a historic all-female crew, conducting NASA-backed research and flight-qualified experiments in microgravity while carrying the Apollo 12 mission flag flown by astronaut Pete Conrad, a tribute to the legacy she now extends.

A serial founder who has built multiple successful companies at the intersection of technology and impact, Aisha is the founder of STEMBoard, an Inc. 5000-ranked tech company supporting U.S. national security programs, and the creator of LINGO, an edtech platform on a mission to equip one million students with hands-on STEM skills. Already used by more than 10,000 learners worldwide, LINGO delivers real-world tech education that’s accessible, inclusive, and future-ready. Aisha is also among the fewer than 2% of women founders to raise over $2 million in venture capital.

From discovering her love of math in community college to conducting NASA-backed research in microgravity, Aisha’s story has inspired millions. She’s been featured in ABC News, Entrepreneur, Essence, Elle, People, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and CBS Mornings. Additionally, Aisha is the subject of the documentary In Her Element, streaming on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and Apple TV and The Human Component by BBC Storyworks.

As a U.S. State Department Global Speaker, Aisha has represented the United States in more than a dozen countries, championing access to STEM, entrepreneurship, and space exploration. She holds degrees in Aerospace and Space Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, and has earned honors including NASA’s Engineering Honor Award, Black Enterprise’s Luminary Award, and STEM for Her Woman of the Year.

Aisha represents people all around the world who aspire to reach for their dreams despite the obstacles. She is living proof that the word impossible is merely a suggestion. It is her own dream to inspire the next generation of innovators and explorers, thinkers, and creators, while serving as a testament to dreaming big, no matter what.

Regarding this year's theme - Resilience - she will be speaking on "Leading from within Imperfect Systems: Journey from Underdog to Innovator"
By sharing real, authentic stories, her failures turned into successes and the challenges faced by women in today's climate that require resilience, Aisha will leave you entertained, motivated, and ready to change the world.
