EWBTF members have an opportunity to enroll in Supplemental Term Life Insurance through MetLife during the upcoming Open Enrollment period.

Coverage begins January 1, 2027.

For this Open Enrollment period, new enrollees and late entrants may enroll in Supplemental Life without providing an Evidence of Insurability Statement of Health (SOH) THIS YEAR ONLY!

Please note: Future Open Enrollment periods will require late entrants to complete an SOH.

-Participation is strictly voluntary
-Any elected amount is in addition to contributions already required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
-Contributions are made on a pre-tax basis

What to Expect

🫀 Carotid Artery Screening
Checks the blood flow through the carotid arteries in your neck and can help identify narrowing or plaque.

🦵 Peripheral Artery Disease (ABI)
An ankle-brachial index compares blood pressure in your arms and ankles to screen for reduced circulation in the legs.

🩸 Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
A screening that looks at the abdominal aorta for enlargement or weakening.

💪 Total Testosterone
A blood test that measures the amount of testosterone in your blood.

👨 PSA – Prostate Specific Antigen
For men, this blood test measures PSA levels, which can be used as part of prostate health screening.

🦋 TSH – Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
For women, this blood test helps evaluate thyroid function.

🧪 Annual Exam & Blood Work
