Who is SMACNA?
OUR CONTRACTORS SET THE STANDARDS FOR THE INDUSTRY
The Central Indiana, Lafayette and Fort Wayne Chapters are members of (SMACNA), the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association, an international trade association, located in Washington, D.C., representing more than 100 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Australia. SMACNA also has a dedicated office on Capitol Hill. Deliberations are held with congressional committees on issues slated for legislative change which may impact the sheet metal industry
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has accredited SMACNA as a standards-setting organization. SMACNA authors the library of technical standards and manuals which have found worldwide acceptance by the construction community, as well as foreign government agencies.
