The annual Best Day Ever Foundation, Inc. Mother’s Day Brunch is just around the corner! On Saturday, May 9th we will celebrate the incredible women who love and support someone living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy - the moms, aunts, grandmas, sisters, and dear friends who walk alongside our boys and young men every day!

This year's brunch will take place at a private location in the heart of downtown Indianapolis! Come ready to learn, share, connect, and simply enjoy a beautiful morning together with other women who truly understand the journey!

Being a sibling in the Duchenne community is a unique and deeply meaningful journey. It can be filled with love, strength, responsibility, and sometimes emotions that are hard to put into words. This invitation is an opportunity to connect with others who truly understand.

During our time together, we will:

💛 Share experiences, thoughts, and feelings in a supportive space
💛 Encourage one another through honest conversation
💛 Brainstorm ways the Best Day Ever Foundation can better support you on your personal journey

Whether you feel like sharing or simply listening, you are welcome just as you are. Our hope is that every sister leaves feeling seen, heard, and supported. You are not alone in this journey and we would be honored to spend this time together.

Did you know that if a parent to a child living with Duchenne or other qualifying complex medical condition has served or is currently serving in the United States Military it takes you to the "top of the list" for receiving an Indiana Medicaid waiver instead of being added to the waitlist???

Today, at our caregiver luncheon downtown, we will have a guest joining us who can share more about this and other VA benefits as they relate to having a special needs child.

Feel free to still RSVP by 10 a.m. today! We will meet at an accessible location near Monument Circle and lunch from Panera is being provided for free. Logistics will be sent after submitted the RSVP.

Digital art for the individuals living with DMD (and their siblings) will also be happening at the same time!

Indiana Families -

On Wednesday, May 7th from 8:30 - 9:00 p.m. one of our Indiana families will be sharing their personal journey with gene therapy. Their child recently received gene therapy for Duchenne here in Indiana. They want to share their story and offer a chance for other families to ask questions.

This is a private Zoom open to parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings and individuals living with Duchenne. There is an RSVP form on our website!

We are gathering a list of verified Indiana families to participate in short surveys to learn more about the journey of Hoosier families living with Duchenne and Becker and to learn more about the unmet needs of our families in the state of Indiana.

We would love to hear from any/all family members who have a loved one living with Duchenne or Becker in Indiana - parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles...

Those who complete this initial questionnaire will be entered into a drawing for an Amazon or Starbucks gift card and invited to participate in future surveys to help us learn more about specific aspects of the disease journey.
