NEW MUSICAL “WONDERS”
– TO DEBUT IN DECEMBER
Opening December 5–21 at The District Theatre
INDIANAPOLIS, IN —

From the creator of Cabaret Poe, White City Murder, A Christmas Carol Comedy, and Zirkusgrimm comes a bold new holiday musical that reimagines a classic through fresh eyes.
Wonders, the latest original work by Ben Asaykwee, opens December 5 and runs through December 21 at The District Theatre on Mass Ave.
Wonders is a joyful and imaginative new musical that breathes fresh life into the beloved tale of A Christmas Carol. Told through the eyes of the spirited guides who lead Scrooge to redemption, this magical adventure celebrates the enduring light of the holiday season. As vibrant, otherworldly beings journey through time and memory, they reignite hope and harmony in a world longing for connection.
This marks a bold new chapter for Asaykwee, blending his signature dark humor, inventive composition, and heartfelt storytelling to create a piece that is both daring and deeply
heartwarming.
“We’re creating something very special and I honestly can’t wait to share it, " says Asaykwee. “And I think it speaks volumes that I feel so strongly about the project that I’m fundraising, for the very first time, for something I’ve written."

For the first time ever, The District Theatre, Ben Asaykwee, and the Wonders creative team are launching a fundraising campaign to bring one of Asaykwee’s original productions to life—and they’re inviting the community to be part of the magic.
The campaign kicks off with a celebratory event on Tuesday, September 10 at 6 PM at The District Theatre. Guests will enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of
Wonders, meet members of the creative team, and learn how to contribute to this exciting world premiere.
WANT TO BE ON STAGE?
Open ensemble auditions for Wonders will be held on August 25 and 26 at 6 PM at The District Theatre. Performers of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to attend.
