Wellness Wednesday - Ortho-Bionomy® Self Care from the Frazer Coast!
A little stiff after a long drive?
Here's a helpful Ortho-Bionomy self care practice that shows the lower spine the way to regain its natural movement, releasing the pelvis by creating connection between ribs, breath and pelvis. Easing the stiffness away gently.
Here's how:
Lie on your back on the floor or an exercise mat.
Knees up, feet flat.
Hands resting on your hips or lower ribs.
Breathe in through your nose and feel the way your back contacts the floor or mat..
Breathe out through your mouth and gently curl your hips forward, flattening your back toward the floor or mat below you.
Relax, stop curling the hips forward, and breathe in.
Breathe out through your mouth and gently curl your hips forward, flattening your back toward the floor or mat below you.
Repeat several times, maybe for a minute, curling the hips on the exhale, relaxing on the inhale.
