Members of Asian American Alliance Inc. were welcomed at Governor Braun’s residence for the Seat At The Table speaker series and meet & greet. He participated in a fireside chat and engaged with attendees to answer questions.

Governor honored AAAI board president Rupal Thakker Thanawala with the Sagamore of the Wabash award, stating that Rupal Thanawala is distinguished by humanity in living, her loyalty in friendship, her wisdom in counsel, and her inspiration in leadership.

The Sagamore of the Wabash is one of the highest civilian honors the Governor of Indiana can bestow. Created in the 1940s, the award recognizes Hoosiers—or those with significant ties to the state—for distinguished service, leadership, and outstanding contributions to Indiana's heritage.
