Another reason to give thanks today: The collective kindness from our alumni, staff, and members of the greater Warrior Nation allowed Warren Central High School Student Council to donate $2,500 to Sonny Day Warren Township for food and hygiene items! Even though Huddle Up Against Hunger had to be all online this year, everybody came through The Warrior Way! We are all very thankful for how much your generosity will help families in Warren Township.

Warren Township is a special place. Right now, a lot of our neighbors are having trouble making ends meet. Today is our final day of the online drive. If you have a few dollars to spare, consider giving to this year's Huddle Up Against Hunger. We're relying COMPLETELY on our alumni this year, and would love to drop off a $15,000 check to our friends at Sonny Day Food Pantry. Please give, if you can: bit.ly/huah2020

: WAY BACK WEDNESDAY: collected a then-record 36,000 canned goods to distribute to various food banks across the City. Warren Township's Director of Curriculum & Professional Learning Kate (Donges) Schwartz ('97) was Student Council President during the '96-'97 school year and helped spearhead the canned food drive. Please share this post, tag other Warriors who might be interested, and please donate to help us get to our goal of $15,000! bit.ly/huah2020

Good afternoon! The phrase "Tradition Never Graduates" means more to the alumni of Warrior Nation than anywhere else. ⏰ ⏰
According to the 1985 Warren Central Wigwam yearbook, the first in-school canned food drive began under the leadership of Mrs. Sue Ludwig and the brand new Rainbow Club in the Fall of 1984. The club raised 2,000 cans that year, and kicked off a tradition that endures after 36 years. Several other clubs have joined forces since then, but this is the first record of a club-sponsored canned food drive at WCHS. Several canned food drives were started in the homes of township staff and families before this took place.
🚨 Let's see if we can tag these Warriors, Class of '85! 🚨

Today kicks off the Huddle Up Against Hunger Campaign. We have a goal to raise $15,000 to provide food and toiletry items for the Sonny Day Food Pantry to benefit Warren Township families. COVID-19 has created many challenges this year within our community. While we need to change how Huddle Up Against Hunger works in 2020, compared to years past, we are hoping to provide food security to more Warren Township families than ever before. Please help us reach our goal by making a donation today.
