Less than a week to register for this discussion!

The American Constitution Society and Lambda Law Society present "Box v. Henderson Case Discussion: Equality for Indiana Families." The case discussion will include panelists, Richard Mann and Megan Gehring, two attorneys that represented the couples who brought suit. The virtual event will be hosted by IU McKinney Professor Nicole Goodson.

The virtual event will include a case discussion regarding Indiana’s discriminatory attempt to deny same-sex couples the same presumption of parenthood that is afforded to opposite-sex couples. The discussion will explore the issues presented by the case, the long-waited opinion by the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court’s denial of Indiana’s writ of certiorari. A Q&A period will follow the discussion.

The event is scheduled for February 2, 2021 at 4:30pm EST and is scheduled to run for one hour. The event is FREE and open to everyone to attend. Registration is required. The registration link is below.

Mark your calendars for an upcoming virtual event Lambda Law Society is hosting along with IU McKinney's American Constitution Society, "Box v. Henderson Case Discussion: Equality for Indiana Families."

This is a virtual event scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. EST. The case discussion will include Richard Mann and Megan Gehring who both played an integral role in litigating this case for the Indiana families involved. The event will be moderated by Nicole Goodson, adjunct professor for IU McKinney's Child Advocacy Clinic.

Join the American Constitution Society and the Women’s Caucus at 1:00 p.m. on August 28 for a virtual event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. The panel will feature Representatives Sharon Negele and Karlee Macer, author and co-sponsor of the bill creating the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, and Professor Anita Morgan, History Professor at IUPUI – author of such works as “’Woman as Force’ in Indiana History.”
