Savannah Shotwell is a freshman multimedia journalism major at Franklin College. For the past three years, she worked as an intern at The (Danville) Republican Newspaper and wrote multiple articles featured on the front page. In addition, Savannah has done freelance work for The Statehouse File. She currently writes for The Franklin student newspaper.

Luke Shepherd is a junior and sports communications major at Franklin College. He is expected to graduate in 2028. Luke is also one of the consistent play-by-play voices for Franklin College Basketball. On top of that, Luke spends his time covering high school sports. Whether it's writing for The Daily Journal, or doing broadcast work for INsideTheLines Media.

Gabby Rogers is a junior at Indiana University studying journalism and political science, with an expected graduation in 2028. Rogers strives to write stories brimming with heart and human detail, creating work grounded in real experiences and connected to readers. She is drawn to storytelling that captures emotion without losing clarity and brings people and their experiences to life on the page.

Olivia O'Neal first began studying journalism at age 16, interning at a local newspaper. She chose Franklin College to pursue her education, where she has reported for the college's full-time student newsroom, The Statehouse File. Through this opportunity, Olivia has written regionally and nationally awarded pieces concerning immigration, social issues and environmental problems. Olivia plans to graduate in 2028 and hopes to one day cover conflict and human rights on an international scale.

Chloe Oden is a senior at Indiana University Bloomington studying journalism with a news reporting and editing concentration and environmental and sustainability studies with a biodiversity and sustainability concentration. She is expected to graduate in May 2027 and works for the Indiana Daily Student - idsnews as a managing editor.

📣 Highlighting our 2026 Keating Finalists!

Lydia Loglisci is a student at Indiana University pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism with a focus on news reporting and editing and minors in political science and music. She is expected to graduate in May 2028 and is a member of the Media School’s Academic Honors Program. Lydia is passionate about investigative journalism, local news and storytelling that serves the public. She is currently an intern with the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism, where she contributes to investigative reporting through interviews, public records research, data analysis and video review.

Dorothy Lakshmanamurthy is a journalism major with a sports media focus at Butler University, where she is expected to graduate in 2027. She currently serves as editor-in-chief of The Butler Collegian, a role that allows her to combine her love of storytelling, mentorship and all things media.

Ollie Fitzgerald is originally from Mahwah, New Jersey, and is a senior at Butler University. She is an international studies and journalism double major with a political science minor and will be graduating in May 2027.

Maria Eduarda Grill is a junior at the University of Notre Dame studying economics and global affairs with a minor in journalism, ethics and democracy. Her work focuses on accountability journalism, democratic institutions and Latin American politics. Grill's journalism experience spans broadcast, print and digital platforms. She served as an election journalism intern at NovaBrasil (Grupo Thathi de Comunicação) in São Paulo through Notre Dame's Gallivan Program, covering Brazil's political landscape.

Emerson Elledge is a junior at Indiana University Bloomington studying journalism with a minor in political science. She's worked for the Indiana Daily Student - idsnews — IU's student paper — since her freshman year and currently serves as a managing editor of content. She also works for the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism.
