Sunday, April 21, 2024, The National Football Foundation will host its 30th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet, to be held at the Colts Pavilion. The Central Indiana Chapter of the National Football Foundation, as well as College Hall of Fame, fundraising activities are aimed at honoring scholar-athletes, and (hopefully) providing college scholarship to each of the 14 2024 winners.
Scholar-Athletes are recognized for their football ability, academic achievement, and citizenship.
This year during the awards banquet, we are celebrating four special events:
1. The NFF Central Indiana Chapter 30th anniversary
2. Honoring Cathedral High School as the NFF's national high school winner.
3. Partnership with the NFL Players Association honoring two scholar athletes.
4. Honoring Mr. Carl Barzilauskas as our Chapter Present for 30 years. Mr. Barzilauskas played for IU, the New York Jets, and the Green Bay Packers. This year we present Mr. Barzilauskas' family with the Distinguished American Award. Carl passed away last year.
The NFF mission, Promoting Leaders in Football and Life, awards 14 high school athletes with college scholarship. Nominated by their high school football coach and/or teacher, these students are the best and the brightest and your support is welcome to help educate our leaders of tomorrow. Our goal is to raise $1000 for each student. All money raised is sent directly to each athlete's college of choice.
