Buddy was found standing in the middle of a road on the east side of Indy, unsure of where to go next. When his foster opened her car door, he climbed right in without hesitation. His previous owner, who was facing terminal illness, made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him so he could get the care and stability he deserved.

When he first arrived, Buddy was timid and kept his distance. Over time, he’s blossomed into an affectionate, joyful companion who greets his foster with full-body excitement.

Buddy is a medium-energy dog who enjoys a balance of activity and relaxation. He’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. He loves to be close to his person—especially at bedtime, where he happily snuggles in and settles down.

Buddy gets along well with female dogs of all ages. His foster sisters adore him, and he loves cuddling and playing with them. He is not a fan of male dogs, so he’ll do best in a home with female pups or as the only dog.

Buddy would thrive with someone who wants a loyal, affectionate partner by their side. He’s perfect for someone who appreciates a big, sweet, slightly clumsy dog who will bring warmth and joy into everyday life.

Jonesy was kept by an experienced foster to avoid euthanasia. He was doing extremely well, but now he is growing increasingly reactive to a sick dog in his home. We are looking to find a unicorn foster home for him to continue his progress. He will need to go to boarding if we are unable to place him.

Jonesy is a 3-year-old, 50 lb Pit Bull/Boxer mix with a playful heart, a lot of energy, and a deep desire to connect with his person. He’s not a one-size-fits-all dog — but for the right home, he can be an incredibly rewarding companion.

He is crate trained, potty trained, and does well in a calm household that provides structure and enrichment. He loves spending time with his chosen person, and is an excellent nighttime cuddler.

Jonesy may not be the easiest dog — but he is a genuine one. For someone ready to meet him where he is, Jonesy offers loyalty, laughter, and a meaningful connection that grows with time.
