On Thursday, August 20, 2026, at approximately 7:47 p.m., the Monroe County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded to the intersection of N. Starnes Road and W. Reeves Road for a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling south on N. Starnes Road and a Ford Fusion traveling west on W. Reeves Road collided within the intersection.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old Bloomington man, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The 16-year-old female driver of the other vehicle, from Spencer, is cooperating with investigators.

The Monroe County Major Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
