Masjid Al Mumineen Indianapolis The Community Masjid, serving the needs of the inner city Muslims of Indianapolis

These Are the Signs of Allah ☪️
Alhamdulillah! Another beautiful milestone for Masjid Al Mumineen – The Community Mosque. Our new sign is officially up!
Sometimes a sign is more than just a sign. It represents presence, identity, community, growth, and a place where Allah is remembered.
Allah says:
“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day…”
Qur’an 9:18
For more than two decades, Masjid Al Mumineen has been a place of Salah, Qur’an, brotherhood, sisterhood, service, learning, and community. Now, when people pass by 4088, there is no question about what stands here:
MASJID AL MUMINEEN — THE COMMUNITY MOSQUE.
May Allah bless everyone who contributed to making this possible, reward those who continue to maintain His House, and make this Masjid a beacon of Iman, guidance, service, and unity for generations to come.
These are the signs of Allah. And Alhamdulillah, this one looks beautiful! 🤲🏾💚

Nations & Tribes — So That We May Know One Another
Allah says:
“O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.”
Qur’an 49:13
This picture means something to me.
Different nations. Different ethnicities. Different cultures. Different life experiences. Yet Allah has brought us together under La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ.
Allah did not create our differences so that we could despise one another, fear one another, or believe that one people are inherently superior to another. He tells us that He made us into nations and tribes لِتَعَارَفُوا — lita‘ārafū — “so that you may know one another.”
That means our differences can become a bridge rather than a barrier.
Our communities become stronger when we leave our comfort zones, sit together, pray together, eat together, listen to one another’s stories, learn one another’s struggles, and discover how much we actually share.
Islam does not ask us to erase our cultures. It teaches us not to make our cultures, race, nationality, wealth, or social status the measure of another human being. The measure with Allah is taqwa.
May Allah continue bringing our communities together—not merely standing beside one another for a picture, but knowing one another, loving one another for His sake, serving one another, and building together.
Different nations. Different tribes. One Ummah. One Qiblah. One Lord.
May Allah make us people who build bridges where others have built walls. Allahumma Ameen. 🤲🏾

Meet Mrs. Maida — some of us simply call her Mrs. M. ❤️

Mrs. M works with We Care Cleaning, a cleaning business owned by one of our Muslim brothers. For the past couple of years, she has faithfully helped keep our masjid, musalla, and other areas clean — and she does an outstanding job. We truly appreciate her.

But there’s something else we noticed. 😊

Whenever we would burn bukhoor (بخور) in the masjid, Mrs. M would always tell us how much she enjoyed the fragrance. So we decided to surprise her with a burner and some bukhoor of her own.

She was so excited! ❤️

Mrs. M often tells us how much she enjoys coming to the masjid, and moments like this remind me that da‘wah isn’t always a lecture or a long conversation. Sometimes it’s simply good character, kindness, generosity, and allowing someone to experience the beauty of Islam through the way Muslims treat them.

May Allah continue to make our masjid a place where she feels welcomed, respected, and appreciated. May He guide her heart to Islam and bless her to become our sister in faith before her time in this dunya comes to an end.

And may Allah allow all of us to be beneficial reminders to those around us through both our words and our actions.

Allahumma Ameen. 🤲🏾

Alḥamdulillāh for a beautiful Jumu‘ah at Masjid Al-Mumineen!
Today’s khutbah, “Making the Qur’an Your Companion,” reminded us that the Qur’an was not merely sent to be placed on our shelves—it was revealed to be read, understood, lived, and carried with us throughout every season of life.
After the prayer, we enjoyed food, fellowship, and the beautiful bonds of community.
May Allah make the Qur’an the light of our hearts, the guide for our lives, and an intercessor for us on the Day of Judgment. Āmīn.
