Thank you to everyone who joined the NAHSE Indy Chapter and the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE) Indiana Chapter NALHE Indiana Chapter for an inspiring evening of conversation, networking, and learning at our Non-Traditional Leadership Career Pathways panel on Thursday June 25, 2026.

Our panelists shared how diverse experiences can shape meaningful careers and create lasting impact across healthcare organizations. From project management and quality assurance to consulting and performance improvement, the attendees gained valuable insights into leadership beyond traditional pathways.

In celebration of Father’s Day, we are honored to spotlight Reginald Wesley Reginald Wesley , Community Outreach & Grants Consultant at IU Health. His commitment to uplifting communities and creating meaningful change exemplifies the spirit of service.
Happy Father’s Day to all who lead, mentor, and inspire.

How does being a father impact how you show up as a leader?
What each of my children needs from me is different, so while my core principles might remain the same, how I show up and how I interact with each of my children is based off what they need from me and not my default style of leadership. This plays out the same with those I interact with at work. How I lead, counsel and encourage is based on the needs of my coworker, not my own.
Second, relationships are paramount. I don’t expect my children to listen to me just because I am their father, I expect them to listen to me based off the relationship we have built with one another and the way I show up for them. The same can be said for my colleagues. I want them to value what I say, and the counsel I give based on the work that I have put in and the relationship that I have built with them.
