After leaving the Haunt for 2 years and having several trees come down this past winter, there was simply too much cleanup to do and not enough time to be able to open the haunt this year.
For this, we are sorry and disappointed in ourselves because we wanted to do the Haunt again.
It was heartbreaking to go out there this spring to check the condition of the tarps, to walk past several fallen trees to find that the front façade for House in Haunted Woods had fallen, leaving few salvageable parts. We had a cremation service for the façade, some nice words were said, and then we got back to work.
In the 2 years we’ve been gone, we’ve learned some new tricks. So when the Haunt does come back (hopefully next year), it’s going to be awesome!
This year we will be doing a yard display and we will have candy and spider rings for any Trick-or-Treaters that stop by on Halloween night.
