ain’t no hearts like Texas hearts ‘cause Texas hearts LOVE BIG!!

Texas FFA, you have no idea how much you mean to me. I cannot thank the state officers, incoming state officers, and area officers enough for choosing to show up to State Leadership Conference ready to love and lead. I saw moments of growth and connection between all, vulnerable stories shared with teammates, the best commodity dress ups I’ve ever seen, and a whole lot of that TX FFA pride. I am so grateful to have experienced so much love last week with y’all!!

let me tell you about a place called “TLC”

The Leadership Center in Aurora, Nebraska has shaped me into the person I am today thanks to .ffa’s Chapter Officer Leadership Training. It’s where I met my first state and national officer, learned how to lead my chapter, found some of my biggest supporters, faced the most nervous feelings, made it through sleepless nights, discovered why I love FFA so much, laughed, cried, and everything in between. This building’s walls have seen many things, but I’ll always consider them a home. This week was my 6th year in a row attending this conference, and every year, it’s a bittersweet goodbye.

Small but mighty Vermont FFA!

My time in the Green Mountain State was short, but just as sweet as their famous maple syrup! I am so grateful for the intentional conversations, deep love for agriculture, and passionate musical chairs enthusiasts that I experienced during convention!

Washington FFA, you were inspiring. Last week, I watched as members celebrated each other on stage, showed up intentionally and authentically during workshops, and found the most fun way to do it all! You reminded me to dance like no one is watching and that a simple smile can brighten a day. I will cherish my time in the Evergreen State forever!!

Advocating on behalf of our 1,042,245 members this week in our nation’s capital, I was reminded of something simple over and over again: Living to Serve. Next to my teammates, I witnessed this in conversations with elected officials and lawmakers. Hearing their stories, passions, and work, I found myself being incredibly grateful for their service. Learning about what they do on behalf of today’s and tomorrow’s agriculturalists was truly an inspiration. A sincere thank you goes to those who keep our industry alive in every step of the way.

Three days with South Dakota FFA to last a lifetime!!

My time in Brookings was a reminder to live in the moment! Small workshops made for great conversation, card games brought lots of laughs, and lunch was where so many stories were told. I’m so thankful for the slow pace of this convention that forced us to take in exactly where we were.

South Dakota FFA, you will be in my heart forever 💛

Last week, Trey and I had the incredible opportunity to see the love of agriculture and leadership in a different light. Instead of worships and card games with students, we were learning about how these sponsors support the students we get to serve. We had great conversations with Rabo AgriFinance, Bunge, and CASE New Holland. It is a gift to share the passion for agriculture that shines through these sponsors in the way they invest in opportunities for students across the country. Endlessly grateful for their partnership!
