Greenacres Foundation is a non-profit based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their mission is education, research, and preservation. At their farm they grow diverse vegetables, along with pasture-raised livestock including cows, sheep, pigs, and poultry. They run a garden apprentice program, and perform research on the farm.

They recently took over operations at the Michaela Farm in Oldenburg, Indiana.

📣 Calling all small farmers! We'd love to come out to your farm. Would you like a site visit and some soil tests? Have conservation planning goals? Like to chat about Farm Bill programs like EQIP? (🤓psssst there are a lot of small-farm applicable practices). We would be honored to learn about all the awesome things you're growing and your farm's vision.🌱 Let us know via this form and we'll be in touch.

The Indiana Horticulture and Small Farm Conference kicked off today. It’s wonderful to see familiar faces after the past year. The strength of relationships between growers is evident; everyone cares deeply about each others’ success.

Our coworker Megan Ayers shared her own farm experience up on the stage during the luncheon farmer panel on mistakes and learning opportunities. When she started Unvarnished Farm in Southeast Indiana she shared “my number one priority was going to be adding life back by all means… I changed my mindset, and I fully build in failure every year. I had to have a more experimental mindset. I encourage you all to try something new.” Thanks Megan for sharing your experience.
