Hey Facebook fam! WTHR-TV is getting ready to take part in the UNCF Indianapolis Region (Northern Midwest Division) 21st Annual Bowling for Scholars Bowl-A-Thon this Saturday.

Were all excitedted to come together and support the communityty again this year!

The organization hopes to raise $50k this year. As a team we are looking to hit $1,000.

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste,"® so let's enjoy an afternoon filled with networking, fun, prizes and most importantly reach our fundraising goals to support deserving college students. Our goal for this year is to raise $50,000 and have 300 plus bowlers to help further our students' dreams to attend one of UNCF's 37-member colleges and universities!

The Northwest Indiana Mayor’s Breakfast is hosted by the UNCF Northwest Indiana Leadership
Council. Since 2007, UNCF’s Northwest Indiana Leadership Council has awarded over 75 scholarships
and raised over $250,000 in funding to get students to and through college. The Northwest Indiana
Scholarship Program’s immediate aim is to identify and reward outstanding area students that are
seeking higher education and meaningful careers but need financial support to begin and sustain
their educational journeys. This is the fourth annual Northwest Indiana Mayor’s Breakfast benefiting
UNCF. The breakfast will feature greetings from the Honorable Mayor Eddie Melton, who is dedicated
to working to diversify the workforce and promote education equality. Mayor Melton is committed to
