596 blood products helped save Gabe’s life. Now, you can show up for someone who needs blood next. 🏈❤️

Gabe was a high school senior and athlete when a devastating car accident left him with life-threatening injuries. During 60 days in the hospital, he received 596 blood products from generous donors who were there when he needed them most.

Today, Gabe is back to working out, enjoying the game of football and looking ahead to his future. Now he shares his story to thank blood donors and inspire more people to give.

On Oct. 17, Indianapolis Colts fans are coming together at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis for something bigger than football: giving blood for patients who need it.

This October, your blood donation can carry even more hope. 💗

For the second year, Versiti is partnering with ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis for the Pulse in Pink Giving Challenge, bringing our community together to support patients who need blood and people affected by breast cancer.

From Oct. 14-31, donate blood at any Versiti donor center and enter code ABCD when scheduling online. Your donation can help patients who depend on a ready blood supply. And through donor participation, Versiti will contribute up to $10,000 to support ABCD and its work.

Join Versiti on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Ascension St. Vincent to donate blood for patients across Indiana. Colts Cheerleaders, mascot Blue and the Colts Action Station will bring the game day spirit, and donors will be eligible for raffles throughout the day, including Colts tickets, autographed items and merch.

What a way to tip off the 5th annual Heroes for Hope Butler/Marquette Blood Battle.

Project 44 brought the Butler community together Monday for an incredible kickoff, with about 60 donors stepping forward and 46 units of blood collected — potentially helping save up to 138 lives.

The energy went beyond the bloodmobile. Butler men’s basketball coaches stopped by to show their support, and Project 44 student volunteers helped make the day possible.

To every donor, volunteer, coach and supporter who showed up: thank you. You proved that when Bulldogs come together, the impact reaches far beyond campus and into the lives of patients who need us.

The Blood Battle is officially underway. Butler and Marquette, let’s keep the momentum going.
