The day will focus on practical, research-based strategies educators can use to make instruction clearer, more intentional, and more effective for students.

The OG Card Drill Blending Drill has a new fourth “Suffix” card, giving teachers and tutors an easy way to help students explore how suffixes change words.

• While building a practice deck, look for “Suffixes for Blending” and select the suffixes you want to include.

• Tap “Add Suffix” during the drill to add a fourth card and change a base word like “bight” into “bights.”

• Tap “Hide Suffix”—or flip the card to its blank side—to flex the suffix and move between the base word and the suffixed word.

First graders and teachers in Greenwood, Indiana were excited to participate in an Orton-Gillingham whole-group model lesson with Kat Shepler! The kids focused on a new skill and did a great job practicing a fair text fluency passage together and with a partner. It was exciting to see students confidently apply their learning in real time.

Thank you to the team at Northeast Elementary School for welcoming us and for your commitment to structured literacy instruction!
