đźšż Help Us Bring Hope, Dignity, and Cleanliness to More People in Need đźšż

Every week, we meet individuals and families who are struggling with homelessness, poverty, and difficult life circumstances. Something as simple as a hot shower can restore dignity, improve health, and remind someone that they are valued and loved.

Because of the incredible support of our community, our current shower trailer has already impacted countless lives. But the need continues to grow, and we are believing God for a second portable shower trailer so we can serve more people, reach more communities, and expand our ministry efforts. We are currently scheduled to use the trailer for 3 weeks at foster kid camps, another weekend in Northern Indiana for a youth camp, a weekend in Racine, Wisconsin helping a growing unhoused population. A potential weekend in St. Louis helping homeless vets and a weekday in Evansville later this year helping veterans. This past weekend the Royal Rangers in Indiana were able to have showers that they wouldn’t have otherwise. So we are blessing more than homeless and drug abused but the need for a second trailer is now.

Would you prayerfully consider helping us make this vision a reality?

Your gift—whether large or small—will help provide:✅ Hot showers for those experiencing homelessness✅ Hygiene and dignity for individuals and families in crisis✅ Opportunities to share hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ✅ Expanded outreach to underserved communities

Together, we can make a lasting difference, one shower and one life at a time.

To donate or learn more, please send us a message or visit our donation page. We are looking to raise $40K for a shower that can be used year round! This will be done through our 501c3 as U.S. Missions has no avenue to allow us access to funds raised for a trailer.

Thank you for partnering with us to bring hope, dignity, and the love of Jesus to those who need it most.

Please share, if you can’t help in any other way please refer this post to someone who may be interested.

Thank you,

Chris & Missy

Lots of things are changing on the streets of Indianapolis with the unhoused. A few of the camps that we go to have been “removed” by the city already. Some of the unhoused were told that they would be in apartments soon, others haven’t been told anything. When asked some have no clue what I’m even talking about.

We had a lot of new faces today, we gave a lot of showers today. Also had a first of seeing an unhoused man arrested in front of us. He got out of jail 2 days ago on an active warrant.

A lot of things going through my head right now.

Good morning, Missy and I have been in Wisconsin visiting Nicolas and Halie. But because we are out of town doesn’t mean that ministry stops.

We try to connect with churches wherever we are for opportunities to possibly help them and for partnerships.

The economy is not good for a lot of people right now, that means that giving also goes down for many churches in regards to missionaries and even church events. Now is the time to give, as missionaries, as churches, as individuals.

Pray for us, gas is expensive and increases our ministry costs. Come July 1, it becomes illegal to be homeless in Indiana. Pray that God gives us wisdom as to what that means for us and how we minister to those who are affected.

We are still looking to book church services through the rest of the year! DM me if you need a pulpit fill-in or want to hear about UO Indy.

I refer to Tony often when telling stories at churches. Tony was an immigrant from Vietnam who came to America 25-30 years ago. He wouldn’t utilize the showers but was never dirty when we saw him. He had the best hydroponic garden that you could imagine, and shared his yield with others. Tony was unhoused.

2 years ago January I received a phone call from another ministry telling me that Tony had been hit and killed on his bike. The dump truck driver didn’t see him. Missy and I were crushed, like everyone else who knew him.

The police couldn’t find next of kin and then we found out why he was unhoused. He had become fairly successful running his own business and his family had been killed in a car accident. Tony wasn’t an alcoholic, a drug addict or anything like that. When he lost his family he lost his mind.

Don’t judge because you just never know.

If anyone is interested, I have plenty of summer and fall availability on Sunday’s or Wednesday evenings to come and share UO with your church. I have done windows or a whole service. We incorporate stories of UO but I will come with a Word from the Lord for your congregation. Willing to travel to Illinois since that is our sending district.

Blessings,

Chris

About 8 months ago a lady who is a masters degree candidate at U of I Indianapolis did a paper on UO Indy that has been shared throughout the community. It was part of a project that she was doing on organizations that help others like UO Indy does. This has opened some doors that I haven’t even realized the impact that they are going to have yet.

God and how He orchestrates things leaves me in awe. Send me a dm if you want to read her observations and findings.
