The American School Health Association is excited to support the launch of the Grief-Sensitive Schools Leadership Initiative (GSSLI) coming in September 2026!

Lead by The Center for Applied Research Solutions, in partnership with the National Center for School Crisis Bereavement and the New York Life Foundation, GSSLI is a new, no-cost community that equip school and district leaders with resources and peer support to guide students, staff, and communities through grief and loss.

Today, we celebrate the incredible school nurses who care for our students with compassion, patience, and expertise every single day. From bandaging scraped knees to supporting mental and emotional well-being, you are a vital part of our school communities.

Shout out to CKF-IN Board Member Deb Robarge, Executive Director for the Indiana Association of School Nurses. She served as the Health Services Director at the Indiana School for the Deaf for over 21 years.
