Scouts BSA troop on the Westside of Indianapolis, chartered by Vineyard Life Church, with members consisting of Wayne Township, Speedway, Avon, Brownsburg and other surrounding areas. We engage in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, High Adventure Campouts, Order of the Arrow and FireCrafter programs. We are a highly involved troop with a very active calendar ALWAYS welcoming new members.

Last week, our Troop went to Camp Crooked Creek in Kentucky for our week long Summer Camp. We had an amazing time and won The Most Spirited Troop award!! Lots of ATV riding and fire by friction happening. Good times all around. All of our guys did a fantastic job!!!

We had two older Scouts needing a 20mile hike to complete their Hiking merit badge. So 4 of us went on a crazy urban hike adventure. We started at the Indianapolis Zoo and hiked all the way to Chick-fil-A in Westfield. Still blows my mind that we hiked all that way!!!

It was cold and wet, but tons of fun. I personally prefer winter camping ❄️⛺️ I'm built for this weather 😆

Last night, Troop 97 had the prestigious honor of being awarded ScoutMaster and Assistant Scoutmaster of the Five Creeks District. However, rest assured, we do all of this for the Scouts and our recent Eagle Scout received multiple awards last night for his service and dedication to BSA!!
