I want to do a quick update on the Indy’s Table initiative. To date, across all platforms, we have raised @$17,000 and at the end of this week we will have delivered 2,000 meals with it.
We have the finances to deliver another 1,200 meals or so.
The goal of Indy’s Table is to provide ongoing support to people who need it most: at risk teens, working poor, elderly and the infirm.
Our friends at Westminster Neighborhood Services have opened up a direct donation link in their website. Click on donations and then scroll to the bottom and click Indy’s Table and all donations go for food.
$5 per meal, $60 buys 12 nutritious meals for people that need it.
For most of the neighbors on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis food assistance is vital; they can’t go without basic necessities and we need to continue to serve them.
