Natasha Augustine, an Interior Design student, recently used the makerspace to engineer and build a beautifully crafted entryway table using CAD design, CNC precision cutting, and layered wood fabrication techniques.
Natasha transformed her vision into a professional-quality prototype with the guidance of Professor BA Harrington and Jonathan Grengs at the STEAMSHOP.

Who knew laser cutters and traditional Japanese woodworking would be such a power duo?
Visiting students from Japan took over the STEAMSHOP and absolutely nailed their kumiko builds 💪
Kumiko is a Japanese technique of assembling wooden pieces without the use of nails.
How thrilling and innovative is that?
