From a photograph to a work of art 📸
Andrew Fedor, an IUP graduate creativity came to life at the STEAMSHOP. Andrew transformed his own photography into these striking laser-cut wood artworks, combining digital image preparation with hands-on making to create something truly unique.
His work is a great example of what’s possible when you have an idea, the right tools, and a space to experiment.

What happens when you open the doors and invite people to explore, create, and make?
You get a day full of curiosity, creativity, new ideas and a whole lot of making! 🤯
From laser-cut keychains and vinyl projects to 3D-printing, woodworking, robotics, and live CNC demonstrations, the STEAMSHOP Open House gave IUP students and our community a chance to get hands-on and see the makerspace in action.

Halfway through the Summer Honors Program 2026, and our STEAMSHOP is buzzing with creativity🤯 !

The enrolled high school students have fully embraced the maker mindset—experimenting, problem-solving, and learning by doing. Whether they're prototyping, coding, designing, or refining their projects, every challenge has become an opportunity to grow.

The enthusiasm in the room is contagious, and it's been amazing to watch these talented students collaborate, support one another, and gain confidence with every new skill they master.

This is what learning looks like when imagination meets innovation.
