Students at Ben Franklin Elementary are taking creativity outside! ☀️ Students have been enjoying plein air painting (painting outside) in the Outdoor Learning Space. This creative experience allows students to make a connection to the world around them while painting what they see. Check out some of their masterpieces! 🎨 We love providing classroom grants that create these moments of joy!

Another Classroom Grant in action! 🎼🥁

The Indiana County Fife & Drum Corps, which includes 11 IASD students and one IASD teacher, has been busy! In April, members were a part of a presentation at the state music educators convention (PMEA) where the directors presented: Celebrating America250: Using Fife & Drum to Build Community and Civic Engagement. The group also performed at the Excellence in Education Banquet at the KCAC, the Elks State Convention in Gettysburg, The Indiana Garden Club May Mart, and the Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County. Recently, they received their uniforms - militia-style colonial attire - which the Classroom Grant helped pay for!

June 1 - The corps will have a booth at the Purchase Line "Celebrate America250!" Fair
June 14 - Flag Day performance
June 17 - The corps will be recognized at the Pennsylvania State Capitol
June 26 - Veterans' Concert
July 2 - Pomp and Parade at Independence Hall in Philadelphia
July 3 - Salute to Independence Parade in Philadelphia

Earth without art is just eh!🎨🌍
One of our Spring 2026 Classroom Grants funded a Junior High field trip to the Carnegie Museum of Art. The students participated in activities with a guide and were exposed to new artists, styles, and techniques. We love being able to support the arts in our schools!
