Maggie Lu's Safe Haven Rescue We rescue lost, mistreated, neglected and abused dogs, provide veterinary care and place in foster homes until a permanent home can be found.

Founded by dog-lover Christa Nigito, Maggie Lu's SHR works with volunteers, to rescue, transport, get veterinary care and find homes for abandoned, abused, and dogs surrendered to high kill shelters. We are a foster based non-profit 501C3 all breed dog rescue located in Charlotte NC. Most of our dogs are pulled from high-kill rural shelters located throughout the Carolinas. Maggie Lu's SHR is always in need of donations, to help with the care and medical costs that is associated with saving them. All of our dogs are fully vetted, neutered/spayed and in
good health unless otherwise noted, when they are ready to be adopted.

Blackbriar is a happy, friendly, playful and loving puppy! She loves everyone and everything and has yet to meet a stranger. She's the perfect age to add to your family and would love to grow up with you! She's ready to share her life, love, and adventures with you. Please go meet Blackbriar, she needs a home quickly, our shelter is full!

‼️URGENT for space‼️ SCAR (A435335) has a treatable doggie cold, isolation is full with no space. He needs adopter/rescue/short term foster immediately! Please don't let him die.

*heartworm test not completed yet
*owner surrender unable to take care of
*kid friendly with all ages - per previous owner
*he's friendly, greets you at his kennel door
*easy to leash and walk
*very easy going, a chill boy
*welcomes all pets and attention
*sweet and loving
*great manners
*attentive and listens well
*took treats gently from my hand
*happy, smart, social, eager to please
*he has a playful side too and enjoys having fun!

Look at those big brown eyes longing for love! Scar is a sweet boy who wants a family to share life and love with. He welcomes all pets, ear scratches, and back rubs. He leans in close for them and enjoys the attention. Sweet Scar is a good boy. He's very easy going and simply wants to please. He's missing home and would love to have a new family. Scar hopes there is someone out there who is willing to give him the love and care he wants and needs. Please come meet Scar, our shelter is full and he needs a loving place to call home quickly.
