💕 A Sweet Story That Touched My Heart 💕

I wanted to share one of the many sweet stories from our recent nursing home visit with Deanie’s Doll Haven Ministry. ❤️

We met the sweetest lady who absolutely loved the baby we gave her. As we spent time talking with her, she showed us her Bible. It was worn, torn, and filled with highlights and markings, showing just how much time she had spent reading and studying God’s Word. 📖❤️

She told us she had read through it multiple times and loved highlighting and marking the verses that spoke to her heart. But what touched me the most was the story behind that precious Bible.

Many, many years ago, she gave that very Bible to her husband when he wasn't saved. Two years later, he gave his heart and life to Jesus! 🙌🏼 Can you imagine the joy she must have felt seeing her husband come to know the Lord? She shared what a blessing that Bible had been, and hearing her story truly touched my heart.

As I looked at that beautiful, well-worn Bible, I was reminded that God's Word is such a precious gift. It is our guide, our comfort, our hope, and the truth He has given us to live by. And sometimes, the very thing we share with someone can plant a seed that changes their life forever. 🌱❤️

What a beautiful reminder of the power of God's Word! If we would only slow down, open our Bibles, and spend more time in His presence, imagine how much our hearts and lives could be changed. There are so many blessings waiting for us in the pages of His Word. 🙏🏼

This sweet lady reminded me that a Bible isn't just a book sitting on a shelf. It's God's living Word, meant to be read, treasured, shared, and lived out every day.

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” — Psalm 119:105 NLT ✨

What a blessing it was to meet this precious lady and be reminded of the beautiful ways God works in our lives! ❤️

❤️ One of the many sweet stories from Saturday’s delivery! ❤️

First of all, it was such a blessing to spend time with all the sweet residents. We talked, laughed, and sang together, and it was so heartwarming to see how much joy it brought to them. Honestly, it made our day just as much as it made theirs! 🥰

But one special moment really touched my heart.

My friend Heather started talking with a sweet lady who asked what church we attended. Heather explained that we all attended different churches but were together serving through Deanie's Doll Haven Ministry . The lady then said, “I knew a lady named Deanie who did hair!”

I lit up and said, “That was my mom!” ❤️

She went on to tell me that she had gone to school with my mom and loved her so much. As we continued talking, Brenda Mullis recognized her, too, and realized she had gone to school with her as well!

What a sweet, unexpected moment it was to stand there together, reminiscing about my mom and sharing precious memories from years gone by. 🥹❤️

Isn’t it amazing how God works? Out of all the places we could have been and all the people we could have met that day, He brought us together in such a special way. I truly believe God places people in our paths for a reason, and sometimes He gives us the sweetest reminders that the love we leave behind continues to touch lives long after we realize it.

God is so good, and He truly does work in mysterious ways! 🙏❤️

🐶🩷 Deanie’s Doll Haven Ministry Update! 🩷👶

We are SO EXCITED to share that this Saturday, we will be delivering more precious babies to the residents at Terra Bella Assisted Living in Indian Trail! 🥰

There is nothing more special than being able to share a little love, comfort, and joy with these precious residents. Every baby we deliver represents a little piece of love, and we are so blessed to be able to continue this ministry. ❤️

Today was one of those days that reminded me once again just how GOOD God is. ❤️🐶🧸
Deanie’s Doll Haven Ministry has been such an incredible blessing in my life. What started as a simple desire to bring comfort, love, and purpose to those who need it has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. God continues to open doors, provide the things we need, and most importantly, bring the most amazing people into our path.
Today, I met the sweetest lady Patricia Settle Smith who donated ALL of these precious babies to the ministry. 🥹❤️ What started as a donation quickly turned into a friendship, and before long we were talking like we had known each other forever!
And now… she may even be joining us on one of our deliveries! 🙌🏼❤️
I just love watching how God intertwines our lives. Sometimes He brings someone into your life because they have something you need, and sometimes He brings you into theirs because they have something to give. And sometimes, He does both.
Every doll, every puppy, every donation, every volunteer, every nursing home we walk into—it all has a purpose. It's not really about the babies themselves. It's about bringing comfort, love, joy, purpose, and a reminder that these precious people are still seen, still loved, and still have so much value. ❤️
I am so thankful that God allows me to be a small part of His plan. I pray that Deanie's Doll Haven Ministry will continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus, one precious baby, one hug, one smile, and one person at a time. 🙏🏼
Look what God can do when we simply say YES. ❤️
