Program Spotlight: Academic Enrichment Services
At Cameron’s House of Hope, our Academic Advisor, Melanie Robinson, pours intentional care into each child’s academic and personal growth. Her mission goes beyond academics. It is about helping students discover their God given strengths, uncover new interests, and step into their God designed potential.
We believe learning starts with healing. Before academic growth can fully take root, a child needs to feel seen, safe, and deeply loved. As that foundation is built, confidence begins to grow and academic progress follows. True growth in the classroom is always connected to growth in the heart.
Each session begins with a hands-on STEAM activity designed to spark curiosity and highlight different strengths in each student. From there, students move into personalized one on one tutoring sessions tailored to their specific needs, along with support for schoolwork and homework.
Our academic volunteers are truly remarkable. They show up with patience, consistency, and compassion, meeting each child exactly where they are and encouraging them every step of the way.
Through this intentional combination of the love of Jesus, healing, encouragement, and academic support, students are growing in confidence, discovering their abilities, and moving forward with hope for their future.
