Our mission is to foster individual and community engagement to feed hungry families and empower those in poverty, creating a sustainable community where all can thrive. What started as four friends creating a small revolution of kindness has now grown to more than 4,000 friends serving our neighbors each month! Over the years, the core of who we are has remained the same: We seek to create a small revolution of kindness delivering groceries and hope, expanding resources and horizons, and developing empowering and life-changing friendships. The goal: eradicating food insecurity and eliminating generational poverty. We are friends: Just common folks from differing backgrounds and life experiences desiring to serve and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. We are a community: A community of friends, volunteers, donors, supporters, businesses, community organizations, and faith communities hoping to raise the levels of love, compassion and service to others in our neighborhoods, city, nation and world. We are Common Heart: A small 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization promoting individual and community action, serving people without regard to race, creed, color, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, country of origin, legal status, socio-economic class, political affiliations or anything else that divides people. We believe that God is an “equal opportunity lover” of human-kind.
