Auxiliary members volunteered at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville MO this week. We also put flags out front at Post 1000 for Memorial Day. Thank you for your service.

In honor of Memorial Day Auxiliary 1000 placed 70 flags on veteran graves today. 🇺🇸

We would like to invite the public out to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville on Thursday, May 21st at 9:00am to assist in placing flags for our annual Memorial Day observance. We will be placing a flag at every grave, so we appreciate any help volunteers might be willing to give! If you want to bring a small screwdriver or device to push a hole into the ground, it helps for getting the flags set with less effort. If not, we have extras here to hand out to those who would like one. Thank you in advance!!

Auxiliary Meeting is Thursday May 14th at 7pm. We have a full agenda. Your opinion matters. Please try to attend. Remember our mission is to assist Veterans and our community.

A HUGE thank you to all Post 1000 Auxiliary Members who were able to attend the District meeting today. We had the most “first timers” and won $75 for our Auxiliary.

There are many patriotic holidays in addition to Independence Day, Flag Day and Veterans Day.

If you celebrate any of these lesser-known patriotic days at your Auxiliary and/or with your Post, let us know! We would love to share your stories and pictures on our social media and in our E-Newsletter. Email them to us at [email protected] with Auxiliaries in Action and/or the name of the holiday in the subject line.
