Buchanan County Farm Bureau, Buchanan County Pork Producers , and Fareway Stores Independence are excited to bring Windsor Wednesday to the people of Buchanan County again this year. Join us in celebrating National Pork Month every Wednesday this October.

Starting this week, you will be able to sign up for the Windsor Wednesday drawing at the Independence Fareway meat counter. Each Wednesday, starting October 1st through October 29th, a winner will be drawn to receive a 6-pack of Windsor Chops (smoked pork chops) and a pound of thick cut bacon. Winners will be notified by phone and asked to have their picture taken when they pick up their winnings. Watch for the bucket at the meat counter and enter to win delicious pork! On August 4th we partnered up with Buchanan County Sheriff's Department for National Night Out. Between all the pork burgers, hotdogs and brats we served about 810 sandwiches!

What a great event for people to be able to interact with local law enforcement and emergency services! Thank you all for such a great event! 👏

On July 23, our team had the pleasure of serving delicious pork burgers to riders as RAGBRAI made its way through Jesup, Iowa. It was an incredible turnout, and we truly enjoyed being part of this exciting community event.

A special thank you to Iowa Pork for their support, and to our very own Bacon Boy for helping make the day a success! 🥓🐷🚴‍♀️
