“Then he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.’” Luke 9:48

Just before this verse, the disciples were debating which of them was the greatest. Jesus could have answered with a lesson about power, position, or recognition. Instead, He placed a child before them—someone easily overlooked—and taught them that welcoming the least is the same as welcoming Him.

What a beautiful reminder to have children serving alongside us as we sort donations, organize shelves, and repackage food. These may look like ordinary tasks. But in God’s eyes, they become sacred acts of welcome when they are done with love. Every box packed, every shelf stocked, every detail handled with care can help someone feel seen, valued, and welcomed in Jesus’ name.

Greatness in God’s kingdom is not measured by who receives the most attention, but by who is willing to notice, welcome, and love those who might otherwise be overlooked. Thank you to our incredible volunteers of all ages! https://masterprovisions.org/volunteer

💛Master Provisions (MP) is a Christian food bank partnering with over 270 local nonprofits to fight food insecurity across the tristate. MP uses their fleet of trucks to rescue and redistribute over 145,000 pounds of food that would have been wasted each month, providing more than 121,000 meals to feed the hungry in KY, OH, and IN. Their collaborative approach with soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, school programs, churches, and recovery centers ensures people of all ages and backgrounds can access the essentials they need to thrive.
💛 We are thrilled to donate a portion of every fall market ticket sold directly to Master Provisions to help fund their efforts to fight hunger in the Tri-state.
