We have our Open House on Tuesday, September 8th from 5pm-7pm. Come down and learn more about The Gate and our programs, tour our facility, and hear about our expansion project. Participate in recreation time and learn about our High School Lunch Ministries. This event is at The Gate, 1501 Monmouth St, and is free.

For nearly two decades, Lisa Scheirman has served families as a real estate professional throughout Monmouth, Independence and beyond with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to our community.

Some people have been part of The Gate since before there was a Gate.

Jim Bobeda has been praying for The Gate Youth Association since it was just an idea in the early 2000s. Since then, he has generously given countless hours serving meals, supporting students, and building, fixing, or figuring out just about every hairbrained idea we’ve come up with, he's even helped with Sewing Club!

Jim is a man of seemingly endless skills and, even more importantly, a true servant’s heart.

Thank you, Jim, for faithfully showing up, serving wherever you're needed, and being such an integral part of The Gate and our impact in this community. We are incredibly grateful for you!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL RESOURCES ARE STILL AVAILABLE!

While construction at The Gate means we aren't able to host our annual Community Back-to-School Event at our Youth Center this year, we're excited to share that others in the community are continuing to provide much-needed back-to-school supplies and resources for local families!

We are so grateful for their commitment to making sure students in our community have what they need to start the school year strong.

For our next Summer Field Trip, we will be going to the Polk County Rodeo on August 6th from 5:00 pm-9:30 pm. This is free to students who register. Registration will be open to students attending Session Two clubs, then all other registered Gate students as space allows. Student drop-off and pickup will be at The Gate.
