A $500 gift funds one complete scholarship for an Appaloosa youth at the 2027 Youth World Championship Show.

That scholarship can help support a young person as they pursue college, trade school, professional training, or another approved educational opportunity.

We are still celebrating the outstanding Appaloosa youth who received scholarships in 2026, but building a program like this takes planning, partnership, and time. That means it is not too early to begin preparing for 2027.

A Spot For The Future plans to award another 16 scholarships at the 2027 Youth World Championship Showโ€”two $500 scholarships in each of eight divisionsโ€”for a total annual investment of $8,000 in Appaloosa youth.

There are several ways to help us begin building that commitment now:
โ€ข $500 funds one complete scholarship
โ€ข $1,000 funds both scholarships in one division
โ€ข Gifts of any amount help strengthen the scholarship fund
โ€ข Monthly giving provides dependable support throughout the year

Starting early allows us to secure the full 2027 scholarship commitment, recognize our partners, and continue investing in the young people who are the future of the Appaloosa community and equine industry.

Hannah, a past recipient of a $500 A Spot for the Future scholarship, will major in animal science with a minor in equine studies. Her goal is to become an equine veterinarian and one day own her own veterinary practice.

๐Ÿ† Congratulations to the 2026 Smile Like Steve Scholarship Award recipient, Abigail Burrows! ๐Ÿ†

A Spot for the Future is proud to partner with the Appaloosa Youth Association to present this special $250 scholarship funded through the Smile Like Steve Scholarship.

The Smile Like Steve Award recognizes an ApHC youth member who demonstrates strong leadership and reflects the qualities Steve Bennett was known forโ€”kindness, positivity, and a willingness to help others.

Throughout the show, Abigail received multiple nominations that consistently described her as someone who always has a positive attitude, keeps a smile on her face, and willingly gives her time and effort to support those around her. She was recognized as a thoughtful, supportive, and generous member of the Appaloosa community.

Abigail has been a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club since 2024, and we are proud to have her as part of our Appaloosa family. We look forward to seeing her continue to grow and pursue her passions within the equine industry.

A Spot for the Future is proud to recognize past $500 scholarship recipient, Izzie George, as she prepares to attend Southern Nazarene University.

Izzie will also be riding on an equestrian scholarship for our very own ApHC great, Debbie Letham. She is still deciding between sports medicine and physical therapy, with hopes of someday combining physical therapy and her passion for horses.

A $500 scholarship check from A Spot For The Future is officially on its way to past scholarship recipient Carly Kleier!

Carly will be attending ๐“๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฉ๐ก๐ž๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐“๐ž๐ฑ๐š๐ฌ, where she plans to major in Nursing. Her long-term goal is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and possibly pursue opportunities as a traveling nurse.
