🎆 What a great parade! 🚤🇺🇸
Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in this year’s boat parade! We had an incredible turnout, and there were so many creative and festive entries that choosing the winners was tougher than ever.
🏆 1st Place: The Chez family with their fantastic Super Mario float!
🥔 2nd Place: The Klancke family and their hilarious Potato Ship—the original Old Dutch variety!
🇺🇸 3rd Place: Rex Hasek aboard The Quest with a beautiful and patriotic red, white, and blue display.
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who decorated their boats and made the parade so much fun for all who watched!
A special thank-you also goes to our judges and the volunteers who captained the judge boats. We couldn’t do it without you.
And there was one unexpected bit of excitement! During the parade, a jet ski began taking on water in the middle of the lake. Thankfully, Christopher Herdegen, a former lifeguard, sprang into action and was able to get the water out before it sank. Everyone made it back safely, and disaster was avoided. We all appreciate your quick thinking and willingness to help, Chris! 👏
