June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, a time to recognize the profound impact of firearm injuries and deaths on individuals, families, and communities.
As physicians and healthcare professionals, we know that gun violence is a public health issue. Through education, advocacy, and community partnerships, we can help prevent injuries and save lives.
The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio is proud to be the convener of the Northeast Ohio Gun Safety Coalition, which brings together healthcare leaders, community organizations, and advocates to promote responsible firearm storage, injury prevention, and evidence-based solutions that improve community safety.
