In honor of we have some great images from the archives to share with you!

The first is a fun shot of two men in front of the Toth Flying School, with a single engine plane behind them. Charles Toth's Flying School was in service in the 1940s at the Municipal Airport in Kansas City.

In the second, we see a group of men on the tarmac, about to board a TWA flight. This image is from the 1960s.

The third shows several different airplanes on the runway at the Municipal Airport. TWA, Braniff, and Mid-Continent planes are shown, amongst others.

*All images shared are from The Noll Collection. Images in order are JCHS No. 2017.006.021a, 2017.006.031b, and 2017.006.094. For more images from the collection, visit our Digital History Database at https://jchs.catalogaccess.com/
