Boy Scout Troop 4 - Independence, Kansas

Boy Scout Troop 4 - Independence, Kansas Boy Scout Troop based out of Independence, Ks. We meet every Monday and try to camp every month. We can welcome new scouts at any time.

Some other activities we do include hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and learning a variety of life skills.

Boys did a great job in there first parade of the season. We did old settlers days in elk city.

They boys went somewhere new this weekend for their campout. They decided to check out Copan Lake, and do a big cleanup project. They cleaned up a bunch of broken limbs out of trees that caused safety concerns, cleaned up a ton of fallen trees and branches, and collected trash from along the shore.
When they weren't working on cleanup, they practiced their skills at fire building, wood cutting, balance and coordination, cooking, and more.
For fun, they played some games, sang songs and told stories around the campfire, and just enjoyed goofing around.

Day 10. The boys did a great job. Was woken up at 6 AM and had all their stuff packed, loaded I. The trailer, and we got checked out and hit the road by 6:54. So proud of how well they did today. And one last group pic when we got home.

Bartle Summer Camp: Day 9
Today was full of last minute requirements getting checked off, gear starting to get packed, last visits to favorite places, and campers starting to say their goodbyes for the season. Our time at Summer Camp is coming to an end, and tomorrow morning the Troop is coming home. 🏠

Bartle Summer Camp: Day 7
It was a great day to go underground and explore. Today Troop got to go visit the Up and Down Cave and see some really interesting things. So cool getting dropped down, going around to look at everything, then using the ladder to climb out.
