Signups are now open for our August retreat!

We had such a blast at the Missouri Sewing Machine Company location in Independence in January that we’re doing it again! This time, instead of escaping the cold, we’re beating the heat.

We have 20 slots for members to set up machines and work on projects on August 28th and 29th.

There is no cost to attend, but your membership must be current. Check your email for signup information. See you there!

We had some fun at our drop-in sewing retreat at KC Maker in June! Members got a lot done.
Meg Green made pants and a blouse, Melody Gardner made a top, Jan McMinn made three tops and yards of welting for pillows, Judy Rouse made knitted pickle ornaments and Madeline Fox got some work done on shirts for her toddler nephew!

Kansas City ASG is hosting an in-person two-day class with Marla Kazell next month!

Participants will complete "Your Go-To Jacket," a jacket-making workshop. You bring a fitted jacket or blazer pattern, and Marla will work with you to customize a collar, pockets or fastener to make it endlessly customizable.

Classes run from 10 a.m. to roughly 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, with lunch included. Sign up now on our website — check your email for the information!
